Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
