This cinematic endeavor, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, his co-star, and Sean Penn, allegedly took 20 years to make, as stated by its creator.
Throughout the movie, the actor portrays the protagonist, an anxious former radical living in seclusion, who connects with past associates when his offspring vanishes.
Anderson developed the concept for the project over two decades ago, partially inspired by a book.
DiCaprio, who previously earned an Academy Award for a survival epic, commented that the movie highlights what he considers growing division in society.
"This story shows modern life and talks about the divisiveness in today’s society and the reality that there's significant polarity," he explained.
He clarified that while there isn't a central message to the film, "it has an interesting theme about fanaticism."
"The film is political without seeming like a lecture," he continued.
The co-star plays Sergio, who offers the protagonist’s aid when he's facing trouble.
The actor stated that the film "comments on the current era" but "at the same time enjoyable, lighthearted and has great soul."

"It's a fantastic experience and he's very funny in real life and in the movie," he noted.
The film is part social commentary, in part dark humor, and partly high-energy drama, and the actor explains that ultimately the story "discovers the humanity in all the central roles."
"This movie is about the characters in the narrative and their struggles - My character is a complex protagonist - you can relate to them and their issues and that's challenging to do," he noted.
