Game Introduction

Hello and welcome to the women's rugby league championship! This league has developed substantially and better each season, from just four teams back in 2018 to a considerably larger 12 teams. Interestingly enough, the championship match includes the Roosters and Broncos in the title match, similar to back in 2018.

Both teams have been outstanding throughout the campaign – Sydney remains undefeated in 2025 and Brisbane has dropped just one match. Both sides boast superstars throughout their lineups and both are perfectly capable of taking the championship at their best.

These teams last met occurred in the third round – earlier this season – when the Roosters secured a narrow victory by only four points. During that contest, the Roosters started strongly, built a significant interval advantage, before the Broncos mounted a final period fightback. Olivia Kernick notched a decisive late try to secure the victory for the reigning champions in an exciting game. Should the two sides replicate that intensity from the earlier matchup, spectators are guaranteed a magnificent game today.
